Welcome to Our New Tween and Teen Girl Devotional Page
Hey, friends! We’re mother-daughter coauthors Bekah and Stacey Pardoe, and we have huge news for you today! We recently transformed this space into an online tween and teen girl devotional page! Bekah (the pre-teen coauthor of this blog) started this blog in 2020 under the name In Between the Lines. She hoped to encourage other girls and young women in their faith. We still hope to encourage girls and young women, but we’re changing our format. We’re also teaming up to write to both mothers and daughters. Here’s our vision: We hope to help moms and daughters connect with each other in deeper ways while also developing a deeper faith…

Do Not Be Afraid!
“Welp. first day of school…” “Mommy, I’m nervous,” Kelly said as she waited for the bus. “D- Do you think the other kids will like me?” Kelly asked as she worried at her feet and the ground. “I’m sure they will, sweetheart! Everybody loves you!” Mom said. “O-ok…. But I’m still scared…” “It’s not uncommon to be scared, sweetie. Everybody is on their first day!” “Ok….” “You know what? Isaiah 41:13 says, ‘For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”‘” Mom said. “What does that mean?” Kelly asked her mom. “It means…

The Joy of God’s Creation
“Mom! There’s a bug in the tub! Come smoosh it!” Aliana called from the bathroom. Alaina’s Mom came upstairs singing, “There’s a bug in the tub, get it out! There’s a bug in the tub, get it out! Before It attacks YOOOU!” And with that, she started tickling Alaina. “Oh sweetie, it’s just a ladybug.” “EWWW! GET IT OUT!” Aliana screamed. Her mom picked it up, threw it out the window, and watched as it flew away. “Bye Bye, Buggy!” her mom called. “How are you not scared of that?” Aliana asked, “Well, it’s God’s creation, and God said all he made was good, so I respect that,” Mom…

You Need God!
Billy sat in the back of his mom’s car. “What did you learn today?” she asked. Billy sat there ignoring her. “Billy?” she asked. Billy woke up from his daydream. “Uh, yeah?” he started. “Billy, what did you do in church?” He thought for a long moment. During the reading, he was daydreaming as well! And then during the activity, he was talking to James, a boy who sat next to him during class. His Mom called him out of class during the final review so they could go to the baptism upstairs. So Billy had really no idea of what he had learned. “Well you see…um…I don’t really remember…”…

Why I Have Not Been Writing
Okay, let me make this short and sweet. But not too short because either you are reading this because you’re bored or you want to learn why I have not posted! Or maybe you like to read my posts! Anyway, you might be thinking, “BEKAH, YOU HAVEN’T POSTED AT ALL IN LIKE FOREVER! WHAT HAPPENED ARE YOU OKAY!?” And the answer is . . . I’m fine! I’ve just been busy with sleepovers, going to my camp/cabin, and being overwhelmed with trying to get everything done in a snap. But I’m back! And here is my devotional: God made this world for YOUR own pleasure and his as well! He…

Patience Please!
“UGG!” Mary stomped her foot. “Why do you ALWAYS STEAL MY STUFF!?” James put his hands on his hips. “Not my fault Mom so happens to put everything under YOUR bed and in YOUR closet.” “I’m telling Mom!” Mary screamed. She ran downstairs with James not far behind. “Mom, James is stealing my stuff!” “Am not!” James yelled, “My dino toys and old PS4 are in her room!” “Children, please!” Mom said, “I’ve had enough of this! Mary, let him have his toys. James, no yelling! I think both of you need to have a lesson on patience – one of the fruits of the spirit.” “Huh?” they both said…

What Flavor of Gum Should I Buy for the Kids in My Life?
Do you want to know what flavor of gum you should buy for the kids in your life? First, make sure the child is old enough to chew gum without swallowing it. Most kids are six or seven when they are ready for gum. Now, try these kid-approved flavors! 1. Extra’s peppermint gum I’m chewing it right now! Recommended by me! I really like it! 2. Extra’s polar ice gum I really like Extra gum – except for bubblegum flavor, so these are my 2 favorite flavors of gum! 3. Hubba Bubba’s bubble flavor I do like this flavor. It’s a nice, soft, sweet bubblegum. 4. Extra’s Mint Gum This…

God Is Always Good!
Hello! I am here! Today I learned a reasonable lesson that I would like to share! Let me begin. Not long ago, I was making a blog post. I’d been working for about 15-20 minutes. I was writing about a girl who needed God to help her through her troubles. Just as I was getting ready to post the words on my blog, I accidentally clicked something that got rid of all my work! Now I needed God to help me through my trouble! I had to face patience, trust, and how much I wanted to quit. I was thinking of a new blog idea, and what you are reading…

Everything God Does Is for Good
Ben did not want to go to school. He broke his leg, so he was using crutches and was afraid he would be made fun of. Later that morning, he would have to go to school. “Mom,” Ben asked, “can I please have a day off?” “Hun, you had the last WEEK off,” said his mom. Ben frowned. “I’m afraid people will make fun of me,” he said, holding back tears. “You know what God says?” Mom asked. “He says all he does is for good. In fact, the Bible says this: ‘The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.’ Maybe God…
