Hi! Today\u2019s post is a real life story. It happened on December 31st, 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The day I walked to my Grandparents’ house:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We started around 4:18.\u00a0 My mom and I started walking, and we had five miles of country roads to walk to get to Grandma and Grandpa’s house.\u00a0 I wanted to walk five miles in one day because I had been working for months to reach 100 miles.\u00a0 When we reached 100 miles, I would get a twenty dollar prize!\u00a0 We were at mile 95!<\/span><\/p>\n

We talked about an old bus in Alaska while walked.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then we walked some more, <\/span><\/p>\n

And more, <\/span><\/p>\n

And more. <\/span><\/p>\n

We stopped at a not so nearby neighbor\u2019s farm and saw the baby cows. Only for 5 minutes or so. And then we guessed when my dad would pass us in the truck because he was going to meet us at Grandma and Grandpa’s house after work. <\/span><\/p>\n

We both lost. We made it there before him.<\/span><\/p>\n

We passed a guy with a black dog when he was taking in the trash can. We saw deer, houses that still had Christmas stuff up, and more cows. <\/span><\/p>\n

Then we made it to the last hill. And then, somehow made it there, alive. <\/span><\/p>\n

And, yes, I got a blister.\u00a0 Life lesson: Wear longer socks.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Now, something I learned was, \u201cThe road of life takes us in many directions but we will always get through them and make it home.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We will go through times of sadness and pain, but God will help us through. And we will make it if we just keep walking. As Galatians 6:9 reads, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”<\/span><\/p>\n

How could I have possibly learned that? <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Well, It wasn’t all happy and nice. <\/span><\/p>\n

My foot was sore, I got cold, and it got dark. But it was worth it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
