Hi! Today’s devotion is about kindness. It is sometimes hard to have kindness in the pandemic, but it is very important to be kind. So let’s begin our devotion:<\/span><\/p>\n

Isabella was playing with her dolls when Luke walked in.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGET OUT!\u201d she yelled.<\/span><\/p>\n

Luke shushed her. <\/span><\/p>\n

Isabella stood up and crossed her arms. \u201cYou better get out or you will get it!\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Luke backed up. \u201cYeash! I\u2019m not here to fight! I\u2019m just here to get my Legos that Mom stored under your bed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Isabella was only seven, but she was fierce. She stomped over to Luke and slapped him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOWW!\u201d he yelped, <\/span>\u201cWhat was that for?\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

He rubbed his arm where she hit it. <\/span><\/p>\n

Isabella raced downstairs and shouted, \u201cI\u2019m telling Mom you won\u2019t leave!\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Luke raced after her. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMOM! Luke is not leaving my room!\u201d Isabella yelled.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mom looked at Luke.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI just went in to get my Legos! Then she yelled at me and hit me!\u201d Luke said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mom looked back at Isabella. \u201cIs this true?\u201d she asked. <\/span><\/p>\n

Isabella looked at her feet. \u201cYes\u2026\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Mom said, \u201cLooks like someone needs to work on their kindness.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Isabella started tearing up. \u201cS-sorry.\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fine, but remember Ephesians 4:32: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, As God in Christ forgave you,\u201d Mom reminded.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI know Mom, But Luke always bugs me. I just want him to leave me alone.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Luke stomped his foot.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cKids. no fighting!\u00a0 Go play\u2026..and remember that verse!\u201d Mom yelled (a little angrily).<\/span><\/p>\n

Isabella sighed. \u201cOkay Mom, if God wants me to be nice I will be. I\u2019m sorry, but sometimes I just can\u2019t hold it in.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Mom smiled.\u00a0 \u201cYa, I\u2019m sorry too. I should have waited or explained better.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad God’s Word has helped you,\u00a0 I need it to help me too\u201d Mom said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt truly has,\u201d replied Isabella.<\/span><\/p>\n
