15 Springtime Bible Verses for Renewal and Refreshment
I walked barefoot through the snow this morning and filled the bird feeder as if it were summer, a quiet rebellion against the season. Later, after the sun was high, I pulled out my Bible in search of springtime Bible verses, never more eager to embrace a fresh start and a new season.
God’s created world reminds us of his care for us.
Nature also reminds us that there are cycles in life. We all face seasons of rest, darkness, and solace, as well as lush and vibrant seasons of fruit-bearing and joy.
As we prepare for springtime this year, let’s take the time to dwell on these springtime Bible verses. God is always working in our lives, and he wants to reveal himself.
15 Springtime Bible Verses
Here are God’s words for springtime.
Springtime Bible Verses for Renewal and Refreshment
1. 2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Spring reminds us of the renewal we find in Christ. Those who follow Jesus have left behind their old lives and ways.
If you are a follower of Christ, let this changing season prompt you to thank God for the work he has done in your life.
2. Song of Solomon 2:11-12
For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
Spring is a time of renewal. The long, dark days of winter are past.
New life emerges from the earth. This transformation reminds us of the God who wants to make all things new in our lives.
Just as he restores the land, he wants to heal and restore our hearts.
Do you need God’s restoration today? Talk to him about the parts of your life that need to be restored.
3. Isaiah 6:11
For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.
God wants all people to come to saving faith in Christ, with righteous praise sprouting from the ends of the earth.
Let this time of renewal inspire you to praise and thank God for his goodness.
4. Hosea 6:3
Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.
Above all else, God’s purpose for our lives is that we will grow closer to him in relationship. Today, God is calling you to press on to know him more deeply. The more you know God, the more you will experience his rest and renewal.
Scripture is the primary vessel through which we come to know God.
God uses his Word to renew our minds and align our hearts with his heart. As we come to know him through Scripture, we also begin to know him more through our experiences. We see his faithfulness and provision in our lives, and our faith grows.
5. James 5:7
Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains.
Farmers faithfully plant their crops and wait for the season of harvest. While the seeds grow in the earth, there seems to be no sign of life or growth.
Often, this is how God works in our lives. He moves in deep, subterranean places, and his work is not always evident in the dark, winter seasons of our lives. Nevertheless, we can trust that he is working and moving.
Do you need to trust God with any hidden dreams or desires today?
6. Deuteronomy 32:2
May my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, like gentle rain upon the tender grass, and like showers upon the herb.
God’s teaching is like water for our parched souls. This world drains us of vitality. Meanwhile, God wants to refresh us and renew us.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. His presence will nurture you like gentle rain upon tender grass.
7. Ecclesiastes 3:1
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven . . .
The shifting seasons remind us that there are times and seasons in life.
Regardless of whether you are emerging from a dark, challenging season, or a fruitful season, let the changing seasons remind you that God is with you. He cares about you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Regardless of whether you are emerging from a dark, challenging season, or a fruitful season, let the changing seasons remind you that God is with you. He cares about you. #faith #hope Share on X8. Isaiah 43:18-19
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
We can step into this new beginning with our eyes fixed on what lies ahead, learning from what is behind us but not ruminating over it.
In Christ, the old is gone. The new has come. Let springtime remind you that God is always working to renew what feels lifeless in your world.

9. Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
What entangled you in the previous season?
Jesus is inviting you to release this to him, throwing off the weight of it, as you start fresh this spring.
Take some time to talk to God about anything that is hindering you today and follow his guidance.
10. Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
As you step into this new season, God is inviting you to put your trust in him. Rather than relying on what you can see and understand, ask him to help you trust him with the parts of your life that don’t make sense.
He is with you, guiding you.
11. Isaiah 40:28
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
Trust in this promise as you step into the season ahead. The same God who created the vibrant world around you is working in your life in miraculous ways.
12. Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
This was God’s promise to his people when they were exiles in the land of Babylon. They felt hopeless and discouraged as they endured this 70-year period of captivity away from their homeland.
Through Jeremiah, God reminded them that his plans for them were good. He would return them to their land and restore them.
His plans for us are good, too. He has a future and a hope awaiting us. As we do our best to stay in step with him, he will guide us into his good plans.
13. Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
What part of your life is difficult right now?
If the assignment in front of you feels overwhelming, like something you cannot accomplish, you are in the perfect position for God to reveal his power through you. Lean into him.
14. Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
God’s right hand signifies his action in our lives. God will uphold you with this hand, providing for you as you step into the future. Rest in this.
15. Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The Apostle Paul reminds us not to be anxious about anything. We are to pray with thanksgiving and tell God what’s on our minds. In response, the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds.
God calls us to pray directly and specifically. He wants to answer our prayers.
