7 Gifts for Christian Moms This Christmas
Last week, I took the kids shopping with hopes to find the perfect gifts for their grandparents. We spent at least ten minutes perusing the women’s clothing department and giggling as we imagined Grandma wearing the silly Christmas sweaters and tie-dyed smocks hanging on the racks. “Can you imagine Grandma wearing this?” twelve-year-old Bekah kept giggling. We didn’t do much better in the kitchen department or even the decoration aisle. If you’re like us, it can be tough to find the perfect gifts for Christian moms and grandmas!
These dear women are content to use the same bakeware they’ve been using for 40 years, and they prefer to pick out their own clothes. They will smile and gladly receive whatever you buy for them, but you’re tired of buying items they really don’t need.
What if you bought this special woman a book to help her grow in her faith? Even better, what if you found a book to help her grow in her faith while helping her children grow in faith at the same time?
This list of gifts for Christian moms contains my favorite books from 2022. You’ll find books to help her grow in her own walk with God, books to help her lead her children closer to God (she’ll LOVE this idea!), and even some fun fiction reads! Let’s start with the books to help her grow in her faith.
3 Gifts for Christian Moms Who Want to Grow in Their Faith
1. I Surrender All (Sort of) by Michelle Lazurek
I read this book at the beginning of 2022 and loved it! This is a great book for the mom who struggles with worry, fear, surrender, and anxiety. She will connect with God and be challenged to surrender to him in new ways. Check out my full review here.
2. Sweeter Than Honey: A 365-Day Devotional Journey by Patsy Burnette
I have read this fantastic book every single day throughout 2022. Patsy put together a wonderful commentary and guide to help us read through the Bible in a year. If you think the Christian mom in your life would like a guided Bible-reading plan, check this out right here!
3. Hidden Manna on a Country Road by Sarah Geringer
This is, by far, the best book on prayer I read in 2022. Sarah shares the lessons she learned while prayer-walking her country road. She invites the reader to connect with God through his creation and offers prayers, reflections, and practical ways to grow closer to God through nature. This is a great book for any mom who loves to go on walks or spend time outside. Help her connect with God during these outings, and she will be thrilled. She will love the insights in this book.
For the Mothers Who Want Stronger Relationships With Their Daughters
1. Girl to Girl: 60 Mother-Daughter Devotions for a Closer Relationship and Deeper Faith by Bekah and Stacey Pardoe
Yes, I coauthored this book with my 12-year-old daughter. Our vision is for moms and tween/teen daughters to connect on deeper levels, create space to talk about the tough issues faced by young women, and go deeper in faith together. This is a great book for moms of tween/teen girls! Read more right here.
2. Connecting With Grace by Stacey and Lexi Shannon
This is another mother-daughter book. This one is a shared journal in which mom and daughter take turns responding to prompts. Bekah and I have enjoyed passing this journal back and forth all year! Check it out right here.

1. America’s Favorite Christmastown by Dawn Klinge
This is the perfect gift for the mom who loves to be pulled into a good story. This story takes place in a quaint town in the mountains of Washington, and it is a warm, fun, feel-good story! You can count on clean fiction that’s well-written and ties together a beautifully written storyline. I’m hoping Dawn writes a sequel for next Christmas! Buy yours right here.
2. The Christmas Cabin by Laura Thomas
Like America’s Favorite Christmastown, I could not put this book down! It’s completely clean and biblically moral, but it’ll make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. I wouldn’t suggest reading it in a cabin alone in the woods, but this book is unique in the sense that it will keep you on the edge of your seat without offending your Christian morals. Laura is a phenomenal storyteller! Find it here.
Another Option: Send Her a Free eBook
Lastly, consider sending a free Christian eBook to the women you care about! I have a full library under the “Free Ebooks” tab at the top of this page. Click on the book you are interested in, receive it in your email inbox, and pass it along to a weary Christian mom! I recommend Mornings With Jesus.
Mornings With Jesus is not your average daily devotional—it is so much more! This devotional is unique because, in addition to daily readings and reflection questions, it also offers a special section at the end of each post called “Your Invitation to Encounter God and Begin Well.” These exercises will help you actually encounter the Living God during your quiet time. They are a pathway to life-changing spiritual growth. My mission is to help others encounter God in ways that change their lives. Instead of asking $9.99, I’m offering this devotional for free with promo code JESUS for a limited time right here.
